Misty “TampaMystic” Malec is a powerhouse in the music and entertainment industry, hailing from Tampa, FL. As the owner of Mystics Entertainment LLC, Industries Most Wanted LLC, and The Hype Music Group LLC, she has built an empire dedicated to promoting and uplifting rising talent.
TampaMystic began her journey in the music industry in late 2010 / early 2011 by hosting artist showcases and open mic nights in her hometown. Her passion and dedication quickly earned her a spot on DJ Clue’s Desert Storm Radio, where she spent nearly three years showcasing the newest music and interviewing artists. Her first celebrity interview was with the legendary Warren G, opening the door to conversations with talents like MoneyBagg Yo, Big Boogie, Project Pat, Drumma Boy Fresh, Murphy Lee, Six 3 aka Dorrough Music, Trouble, Big Gipp, Rico Wade, Neef Buck, Tracy T, Playa Fly, Fabo, Hot Boy Turk, Kidd Kidd, Bobby V, Kilo Ali, Blood Raw, TrillVille, Nathan Davis Jr., Soul4Real, Shawty Shawty, Kwon and many others.
In February 2012, TampaMystic launched the Industries Most Wanted brand as a mixtape series, which later evolved into a well-known podcast highlighting emerging artists along with well known talent. A year later, in 2013, she relocated to Atlanta to further her career, landing a show on Highly Unique Radio, where she stayed for six years. During this time, she continued to host artist showcases that drew notable talents, including Andre 3000, K Camp, Shawty Lo, Drumma Boy Fresh, Mykko Montana, Rich Homie Quan, Benzino, Zaytoven, Al Nuke and more.
In 2020, TampaMystic launched her own radio station, The Hype 87.3, dedicated to up-and-coming artists. Building on her success, she expanded in 2023 by opening Creative Media Zone in partnership with Bigga Rankin. The facility now serves as the home for Industries Most Wanted and The Hype 87.3. In 2024 she launched her second radio station, Spinz 92.9, also catering to independent music artists.
TampaMystic’s influence extends beyond radio and podcasts. She has provided official media coverage annually for events like the Atlanta Turkey Classic, Georgia Spartans basketball games, Season Shift, Vybes Academy, Graduation Events & more. Today, she continues to amplify artists’ voices through interviews for her podcast and radio stations, conducted every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
