Saint Ahmad Sets the Stage For the Next Generation of Club Kids with Debut EP MINDS

Saint Ahmad is a name circulating through the club currents of New York City. He’s a black, LGBTQ+, multimedia artist on a mission to inspire the next generation of club kids. Saint Ahmad’s newly released debut EP MINDS features five tracks that explore the depths of his intricately layered identity. Inspired by icons who came before him among the likes of RuPaul and Leigh Bowery, Saint Ahmad plans to be a voice of tomorrow.

The sonics behind MINDS are an ode to the second family Saint Ahmad has found in NYC club culture. Featuring heavy-handed beats, an adrenaline spike of electronics, and an unapologetic vocal, MINDS will surely shock your system. Brushing on themes of race with his powerful opening track “skin” to religion with his profoundly poetic second track “Power”, MINDS addresses every corner of what makes Saint Ahmad who he is. Additionally, the EP features a euphoric collaboration with fellow NYC-based contemporary Lolita Leopard on “lgc”. MINDS is a change of pace for club culture as we know it, offering intimate windows of introspection set to inspire generations to come.

Saint Ahmad is a Brooklyn-based musician and dancer. He was originally born in Tashikawahi-shi, Tokyo, Japan where he found his voice through singing in church. He moved on to graduate with a BFA in Dance from Florida State University. MINDS is his debut EP.
