Thank you for spending time with us! Please introduce yourself to our readers and tell us where you’re from?
Hello, my name is iazY, i’m a 16 years old singer, songwriter, producer, and I’m originally from Toledo Ohio, but now currently staying in Cali.

How did you discover that music is your passion?
Ever since I was young I would always write little songs and little stories, I loved performing covers for my family, music is something I’ve always knew I’d end up doing.

How would you describe your style of music?
I would say my music style is pop rock that can spice up if necessary.

Give us one male and one female musical influence. And tell us why them?
At the moment, Jhene Aiko and Tyler, The Creator. I believe they influence me more in my writing, their word play is dreamy and the way every song they create has a story has helped me create some of my songs now.

Out of all the songs you’ve written, which one is the most personal for you and why?
Chat, Chat for sure. Once upon a time, I got off a game with this mystery person who I was playing with, long story short they had some words to say that broke my little 14 year old heart. I remember seating on my living room floor thinking of ways to express my emotions. I grabbed my guitar, started plucking for inspiration, and wrote chat.

Are you interested in tapping into other genres? If so, which ones?
Yes, I always wanted to combined more genres together and see how they can complement each other. A genre combination that im excited to explore is rock, hyper pop, with a sprinkle of RnB.

Tell us about the single you are currently pushing and where it’s available.
Grocery Store the remix was literally written about a dream that had one night. When I first heard the final product I knew this song would have people bumping their heads! Plus with the amazing talent Bushwashere as a feature and my grammy award winning producer R8dio, definitely made the sound & quality of the record amplified. Grocery Store the remix will be available Dec 15 on all streaming platforms.

Are you currently in EP/album mode?
Yes, I’m so excited for ya’ll to hear the final product of my EP when it drops late next year.

What’s been the biggest struggle or obstacle that you’ve overcame since pursuing Music?
Trying to solidify my image. I feel like being so young and dealing with a lot of people way older than me, it’s hard for me to communicate different ideas that this generation would rock with that their generation wouldn’t understand.

What else can we catch you doing when you are not creating music? Any hobbies?
I am very much into anime, so I love drawing different sketches. I watch reality crime shows(60 days in, dateline…etc) I’m weird and an introvert. LOL

Are there currently other business ventures that you are pursuing?
I don’t know yet, there’s so much going on that I don’t know what to expect But, I’m excited to find out and see where music takes me.

What’s next for you?
Next, is really honing in on my sound & craft. By this time next year the world I will see me playing sold out arenas.
